Run your own Qur'an school

Enrollment, tuition, sibling discounts, payment plans, the roster and attendance — in one place instead of a Google Form, a spreadsheet and a payment app that never agree. Free to start, with unlimited students.

3,000+ communities on Ummah · Programs on Basic, $19 a month, website included

Three tools that do not talk to each other, and you in the middle.

Most independent Qur'an schools run on a form that collects registrations, a spreadsheet that becomes the roster, and a payment app where the money lands. Every Sunday somebody reconciles them by hand. The sibling discount is applied from memory. Attendance is a clipboard that lives in a bag. And when a parent asks in March what they paid in September, finding out takes an afternoon.

None of that is a teaching problem. It is a systems problem, and it is the reason good teachers cap their school at the number of students they can hold in their head.

Ummah replaces all three with one record. A family registers once, pays on a plan if they need one, gets the sibling discount automatically, lands on the roster, and is marked present or absent against each session. You teach. The system does the Sunday admin.

Set up the term once

A term, priced the way you actually price it.

Build the session list for the whole term, add the price options you need, and set the rules. Early bird until the end of August. Standard after that. Second child half price. Deposit plus three installments. You fill in one form and it runs itself until December.

  • One session per class day, with its own date and time, so families see the schedule before they pay
  • As many price options as you need, each opening and closing on its own date
  • Payment plans: a deposit plus up to 36 installments on your schedule
  • Sibling and family discounts that apply themselves from the child you choose
  • A refund policy per program — full, none, or a window — shown before payment
Set up a class with pricing and a refund policy in one form.
Sessions, pricing, a registration form, a roster and attendance per program.
Then run it

The roster, the answers, and who was actually there.

Every enrollment carries the form the family filled in, so the allergy, the surah they are on and the pickup authorisation are on the record instead of in a message. Mark attendance per session, promote a family off the waitlist when a seat frees, and message everyone in one class without building a list.

  • Registration forms with parent and child fields and your own questions
  • A waitlist you can reorder and promote from, without asking anyone to re-register
  • Attendance per session, or check students in at the door
  • Message everyone enrolled in one program at once
  • Enrollment, revenue and attendance analytics per program
And it keeps going

The families who enrol are the community you can reach next Ramadan.

A class tool gives you a roster and stops. On Ummah the families who enrol become members of your community: in the directory, tagged, reachable by email, push, in-app and text, and already there when you open registration for next term or run a fundraiser for the new space.

  • Everyone who enrols lands in your member directory, tagged and exportable to CSV
  • Announce to one class, one tag, or everybody
  • Take donations with year-end tax receipts carrying your own name and logo
  • Sell tickets to the graduation with QR check-in at the door
  • Embed your class list on your own website, on your own domain
Classes and courses run alongside events, with their own enrollment.

What it costs: $19 a month

Basic is $19 a month, month to month, with unlimited students and unlimited programs, every capability on this page, and a website we design and build for you. On a paid enrollment the platform fee is added at checkout and paid by the family, so you receive the full tuition you set. Compare that with the platforms usually recommended to teachers: Skool is $9 a month before your first student and takes 10% out of your payout on its entry plan, and Circle starts at $89 a month billed annually. Both are good products for selling a course; neither runs a term.

Questions

Yes. You create your own organization on Ummah in a few minutes — it does not have to be a masjid, a registered school or a non-profit. A teacher with forty students and a rented room sets it up exactly the same way a large Islamic centre does, and on the same free plan.
Basic is $19 a month, month to month, with unlimited students and unlimited programs, and a website we design and build is included. On a paid enrollment the platform fee is added at checkout and paid by the family, so you receive the full tuition you set: 3% on Free, 1.5% on Basic ($19/mo), 0% on Advanced ($75/mo). A free class carries no fee at all. Card processing is charged separately by the payment processor, as it is everywhere.
Yes, and it is the single thing that turns a maybe into an enrollment. Set a deposit and up to 36 installments at the interval you choose. The family pays the deposit to hold the place and the rest comes off on schedule, so a $600 year is not a $600 decision in September.
You set them once on the program: sibling or family, a percentage or a fixed amount, and which child it starts from — the second, the third, whichever you price. You can cap how many people receive it. It applies itself at checkout. No code to hand out, no refund to issue in November because someone was charged full price for their third child.
Yes. Build the registration form the class needs: the parent’s details and each child’s, plus your own questions — allergies, prior Qur’an level, the surah they are on, the emergency contact, who is allowed to collect them. The answers sit on the enrollment, so the teacher reads them where the roster is rather than hunting through an inbox.
The next family joins a waitlist instead of walking away. You can reorder it, and when a place opens you promote someone straight into it without asking them to register again.
Yes, per session, or by checking students in at the door. At the end of term you can answer "how many Saturdays did she actually attend" from the record rather than from a clipboard — which is also the answer to most parent conversations in March.
You set a refund policy per program — full, none, or a window — and it is shown before payment and enforced after it. Whoever in your team gets asked, the answer is the same.
Yes. Copy one snippet from the portal and your programs appear on your own site, on your own domain, with families browsing and registering inside the widget. There are matching widgets for your events, prayer times and donation campaigns.
