Cookie Policy
theummah.io uses a small number of cookies and similar local-storage technologies. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or sell personal data. The marketing site itself stays close to cookie-free; the identifiers below are essential to the experience.
What we store
- Session storage: the on-site Ummah Guide chat keeps your conversation, the open/closed state of the widget, and a one-shot teaser flag in your browser's sessionStorage. Cleared automatically when you close the tab.
- Local storage: when you vote on a roadmap item, we store a list of items you have voted on so you cannot double-vote. No identity is attached.
- Cloudflare: our hosting provider may set short-lived cookies for performance and security (e.g. bot mitigation). These are operationally essential.
- Anonymous analytics: aggregate page-view counts. No cross-site tracking, no third-party profile building.
What we do not do
- No advertising cookies.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data with brokers.
- No fingerprint-based tracking across sites.
The Ummah app and Community Portal
Logged-in surfaces (community.theummah.io and the mobile app) use authentication cookies and session identifiers to keep you signed in. Those are governed by our Privacy Policy.
Your control
You can clear browser cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of any logged-in surface and reset the chat widget state. None of the marketing-site cookies persist beyond what your browser allows.
