Ummah vs Ummah Unite An Ummah Unite alternative for Muslim event organizers
Ummah Unite sells the whole event: tickets, booths, floor space, vendor storefronts and sponsors in one checkout, with no subscription and a team that works alongside the organizer for months. Ummah runs the whole community, and the event, for one published price: events with vendor booth maps and checkout inside your own site, a call sheet of the vendors, sponsors and speakers in your state, members and dues, programs, donations at 0%, prayer times, the Ummah Kiosk, TV displays and a website we build, $75 a month. Here is the honest split, including the rows where they win and the places we got them wrong.
They sell the whole event. We run the whole community.
Ummah Unite is a serious product built by people who clearly care about the same communities we do. One checkout sells tickets, vendor products and floor space. Attendees, sponsors and vendors pick their own seats, tables or booths on an interactive venue map. Vendors get a storefront on the event page with pickup, delivery or shipping. Event pages carry your logo and your own domain with the checkout embedded, and one QR gets a person through the door and through every vendor pickup. There is no subscription: the organizer pays nothing, the attendee pays $1 plus 2.5 percent on a paid ticket, and Stripe pays the organizer at the moment of sale.
And they are not only software. For the Niya Summit their team worked with the organizers for around three months on marketing, the website, sponsor packages, speakers, the schedule, vendors and then the door, and closed at 187 percent of the ticket target. Coming engagements are planned at up to five months, and organizers can keep that team year-round. An earlier version of this page called that “event day”, which was wrong, and it is corrected below. We do not sell anything like it.
Ummah is built around a different problem. An event is one weekend; a community is every week. On Ummah, events come with vendor booth maps and booth payment, and sit next to a member directory, membership tiers and dues, a full programs and weekend-school module, donation campaigns and recurring giving, prayer times for 2,000+ masajid, analytics and a private feed, and everyone who registers becomes a member you can reach again by email, push, in-app or text. All of it embeds into your own website as widgets, and all of it is in one app and web directory where Muslims already look for what is on near them. The Advanced plan, $75 a month billed annually, bundles it with the Ummah Kiosk and TV displays on hardware you already own and a website we design and build, and the full rate card is public.
So the split is simple. If you want to hire a team to market and run your event, that is what Ummah Unite sells and we do not. For the platform itself, Ummah does more: the floor plan, checkout inside your own site, the community and the other fifty weeks on one bill, and something no event tool has, a call sheet of the vendors, sponsors and speakers active at Muslim events in your state, kept current from the 15,000+ events on Ummah. Two Muslim teams building for the same ummah is a good problem to have.
Feature by feature
Their column was read from ummahunite.com on September 19, 2026: their comparison page, their corrections page, pricing, features and services. Ours was read from the product itself. Fees are as printed that day, and card processing is charged separately by the processor on both platforms. Bold is the side that is ahead on that row.
| Feature | Ummah | Ummah Unite |
|---|---|---|
| What the attendee pays on a $25 ticket | $0.75 on Free (3%), $0.38 on Basic (1.5%), $0.00 on Advanced (0%). Added on top of face value; card processing on top of that | $1.63 ($1 + 2.5%). Added on top of face value; card processing on top of that |
| What the organizer pays per ticket | Nothing. The platform fee is charged to the attendee at checkout, never to the organizer, and never deducted from the payout. The organizer banks the face value on every plan | Nothing. The platform fee is charged to the attendee at checkout unless the organizer chooses to absorb it. The organizer banks the face value |
| Pricing model | A public rate card: Free $0, Basic $19/mo with a website we build, Advanced $75/mo billed annually with everything bundled. Free events are free on every plan | No subscription, no tiers. Per-transaction fees, and services quoted per engagement: flyers from $50, carousels from $150, logistics from $250, tech from $500 |
| Everything in one price | Advanced, $75/mo billed annually: events with tickets and check-in, members and dues, donations at a 0% platform fee, the Ummah Kiosk, TV displays, vendor booth maps, prayer times, the app and a website we build. The full rate card is public | No subscription: $1 + 2.5% per paid ticket, $10 + 2.5% per booth, $1 + 2.5% per storefront order, services quoted per engagement. Membership and dues are not part of the product, and there is no member app, by design |
| Vendor booths, tables and floor space | Vendor booth maps: a floor plan per event from a room template or a satellite view of the venue, numbered booths, vendors and sponsors placed from their lists, draft then publish, the map on the event page and in the app, a link that opens on a vendor’s booth, booth numbers emailed, a print view, and booth payment from the map. Included in the $75 Advanced plan | Vendors pick a booth or table on an interactive floor plan and pay into your Stripe at booking. $10 + 2.5% per booth, absorbed or added to the vendor total |
| Vendor storefronts, pickup and delivery | Not sold | Vendor storefronts on the event page with pre-orders, booth pickup, venue delivery or shipping with tracking. $1 + 2.5% per order |
| Seat and venue maps | Vendor booth maps on a room template or a satellite view of the venue, and seating sold by section as ticket tiers you name, such as brothers’, sisters’ and family sections, with capacity and a waitlist | Interactive venue maps; attendees, sponsors and vendors pick their own seats, tables or booths. Brothers’, sisters’ and family sections as native ticket options |
| Sponsors | Sponsors listed and managed per event, placed on the booth map, and sponsorship tiers sold as ticket types you define: name, price, quantity, cut-off date, custom questions. Plus a call sheet of the sponsors active at Muslim events in your state, to find new ones | Sponsor packages, plus attendee-to-sponsor meeting booking from the event page through their calendar, Calendly or Google Calendar |
| Vendors, sponsors and speakers to call | A directory and call sheet of the vendors, sponsors and speakers active at Muslim events in your state, kept current from the 15,000+ events on Ummah. The people other organizers booked last season, ready to contact | Not part of the product. Speaker and sponsor coordination is part of their paid team engagement |
| Event services and marketing | Not sold. This is the one thing Ummah does not offer: we do not market or run your event for you. Onboarding is a 14-day launch program, and we design and build your website, included on Basic and Advanced | Marketing, design, video, website, speaker and sponsor coordination, run-of-show and the door, three to five months per summit, and year-round if the organizer keeps them |
| Embedding on your own website | Copy-paste widgets for events, prayer times, donations and programs on your own domain, with registration, ticket checkout and giving all inside the widget. And a whole website we design and build for you, included on Basic and Advanced | White-label event pages with your logo and colours, your own domain, and the whole event embeddable with checkout inside |
| Programs, classes and weekend school | A full module: sessions, categories, price options with early-bird windows, payment plans with deposits and installments, automatic sibling and family discounts, discount codes, custom registration forms with parent and child fields, waitlists you can reorder and promote from, messaging, attendance and check-in, refunds with a policy, per-program analytics, a share link and an embeddable widget | Sessions, custom registration questions, parent and child fields, waitlists. | Automatic discounts | Sibling and family discounts that apply themselves from the nth enrollment, early-bird pricing windows that open and close on a date, and promo codes with percentage or fixed value, a redemption cap and an end date | Early bird, family and returning-attendee discounts that apply themselves; private codes stay private |

No standalone campaign pages, by design |
| QR check-in | From any phone on every plan, plus the Ummah Kiosk on Advanced, on a tablet you already own, for check-in, walk-up registration and tap-to-pay at the door. The QR code is in every confirmation email | Unlimited devices on one account, double-scan protection, per-session check-in, and one QR that covers both entry and pickup at every vendor booth |
| Livestream and hybrid | Online and hybrid events with a stream or meeting link on the event, shared with registered attendees | YouTube, Facebook and Zoom gated to ticket holders, with a personal Zoom link on every ticket |
| Members between events | Everyone who registers lands in a member directory you can filter, tag, tier, charge dues to and export, and reach by email, push, in-app and SMS | Every attendee becomes a follower the organizer owns and can announce to free, and the list exports at any time |
| Community feed and member app | A private moderated feed, and one shared app with a web directory that Muslims already use to find what is on near them | None, by design. Events are web pages: one tap from the flyer to the ticket, nothing to install |

What we got wrong the first time
We published the first edition of this page on September 14, 2026. Ummah Unite replied claim by claim two days later. We checked every item against their own pages and they were right on all of it. Rather than quietly patch the table, here is the list. Jazakum Allahu khayran to their team for taking the time to answer carefully instead of shouting.
We said: “They are strongest on event day. We are strongest the rest of the year.”
Wrong, and the line is gone. Their team worked with the Niya Summit organizers for roughly three months before the doors opened, the next summits are planned at up to five, and organizers can keep the team year-round. Event day is the end of that work, not the size of it.
We said: “Vendor booths are $1 + 2.5% per booth.”
Booths and tables are $10 + 2.5% per booth, and the organizer chooses whether to absorb it or add it to the vendor total. The $1 + 2.5% we quoted is their fee on a vendor storefront order, a different line on the same pricing page.
We said: “Media services from $5.”
A missing zero in their catalog, which they fixed on September 16, 2026. Flyer design starts at $50, carousel design at $150.
We said: “Prayer times, membership and programs: not stated.”
All three are stated on their features page. Prayer times appear on every in-person event page for the venue. Attendees become followers the organizer can announce to for free, on an exportable list. Programs run on sessions, custom registration questions, parent and child fields and waitlists.
We said: “Their features page: ‘No social feed or mobile app’.”
That sentence is no longer on their features page, so quoting it as current was wrong. The fact is unchanged and they state it themselves as a design choice: events are web pages, and there is nothing for an attendee to install.
We said: Comparing their attendee fee against our platform fee.
Those are different people. Both platforms add the platform fee on top of face value and both organizers bank the face value, so the row that matters is attendee fee against attendee fee. It is in the table above.
We said: Nine of their capabilities left out of the table entirely.
White-label pages on their own domain with embedded checkout, sponsor meeting booking, livestream with a per-ticket Zoom link, one QR for entry and vendor pickup, vendor delivery, automatic discounts, one-click Eventbrite import, a public API and organizer verification. All nine are rows now.
Everything a community event needs, in the same product as the community.
Ummah goes deep on the event itself and on what happens after it: create the event in three steps, details, tickets, categories, then switch on what this one actually needs. Paid tickets work as soon as Stripe or PayPal is connected, and free events are free on every plan.
