ConnectMazjid started as a prayer display and it shows. The free Core plan runs as many TVs as you have on Android TV or a Fire Stick, and the paid packages add countdowns, an audio notifier, a live donation ticker and full-screen announcements for a few dollars a month. It will also host a website for you at no charge. That is a real product, 800+ masajid use it by their count, and if a free prayer screen is all you need, it is a good one.

Ummah bundles the whole masjid into one published price. Advanced is $75 a month billed annually and includes events with tickets and check-in, members and dues, donations at a 0% platform fee, the Ummah Kiosk and TV displays on the tablets and TVs you already own, vendor booth maps, prayer times, the app and a website we design and build. The TV shows prayer and iqama times with a countdown, events, campaign totals and announcements, and the kiosk takes tap-to-pay donations and checks people in, which ConnectMazjid does not offer.

Ummah is also built around a different problem. A masjid does not usually struggle to show prayer times to the people already standing in it. It struggles to reach the family that moved into the area last spring and does not know the masjid exists, and to keep a member list, a program roster and a donor history in one place once they arrive. That is what the shared app, the public community page, the member directory and programs are for, and none of the last three is stated on their site.

ConnectMazjid's pages describe displays, events, announcements, donations and a website. They do not state a member database, membership tiers or a CRM. On Ummah every attendee, participant and donor becomes a member automatically, with tags you can filter and announce to, tiers you can bill, and programs with their own enrollment and attendance.

If all you need is prayer times on a lobby TV and a simple website, and the budget is zero, ConnectMazjid Core does that for free and ours does not. If you want the whole masjid on one bill, Ummah bundles it in one published price: events with tickets and check-in, a member database with dues, programs with enrollment, donations at a 0% platform fee, the Ummah Kiosk and TV displays on the tablets and TVs you already own, vendor booth maps, prayer times, the app and a website we build, $75 a month billed annually on Advanced. ConnectMazjid has no kiosk, and its site does not state a member database.

What the site does not state is any platform fee on donations, so ask them before you assume it is zero. Ummah Free is also a real free plan; it carries a 3% platform fee on paid tickets and nothing on free events.
Yes, one shared app called CMZ, where a user locates and follows their masajid, gets athan and iqamah reminders, sees events and can register or donate. It is the same model as Ummah. The difference is the size of the network inside it: 800+ masajid on their side, 3,000+ communities and 30,000+ Muslims on ours, and when we looked their listing had 53 App Store ratings and 5,000+ Google Play downloads.
On Ummah, yes. Bulk CSV import brings a member list in, and everything exports out with no export fee and no lock-in. We cannot speak to their export terms; nothing we read published them.
We make Ummah, so read it knowing that. Their column was read from their homepage, pricing page, six product pages and both store listings on September 14, 2026, and we listed what we found. They are still ahead on what the free plan includes: Core puts TV displays, a hosted website and Stripe donations on $0, where ours are on paid plans, so the Free plan row is theirs and the TV and website rows are even rather than ours. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
