One masjid app for every masjid you belong to.
Ummah is the free app where Muslims see today's iqama times, register for events, give, and follow their masjid's feed, and the portal the masjid runs all of it from. Free for members, and free for the masjid to start.
Your masjid is on WhatsApp, a website, Eventbrite and a flyer by the door.
The iqama changed this week and half the community found out at the door. The youth night was on a flyer nobody photographed. The Ramadan appeal went through a PayPal button with no name attached. Every one of those is a member who meant to show up, or meant to give, and could not find the way.
The admin side is no easier. A masjid has a WhatsApp group that mutes itself, a website nobody has logged into since the last board, a ticketing site that keeps a cut, and a spreadsheet of members that was true the day it was made.
Ummah is one app for the member and one portal for the masjid. It is free to download, free for the masjid to start, and the masjid's public page and adhan times are live the day it signs up.
Today's iqama, before you leave the house.
Adhan is calculated for the masjid's location, iqama is whatever the masjid entered, and both show in the app the moment they change. No screenshot of a PDF passed around a group chat.
- Adhan calculated from the masjid's own method and offsets
- Iqama times entered once by the masjid, shown to every member
- Multiple Jumu'ah times listed when the masjid runs more than one
- The same times on the masjid's public Ummah page and in the app

See what is on. Register in one tap.
Every event from every community you follow, in one list and on one map. A free event registers in a tap, a paid one is paid for in the app, and the ticket waits in your profile until the door.
- Events from every community you follow, filtered by category, date, price and format
- One-tap registration for free events, in-app payment for paid tickets
- Your QR ticket in your profile and in the confirmation email, scanned at the door
- Event announcements by push, email and in-app, so a room change actually reaches you
One feed instead of six WhatsApp groups.
Each masjid has a page in the app with its prayer times, its events and a feed it moderates. Follow more than one and they all sit under My Communities, which is how most of us actually live: a home masjid, a Friday masjid, a halaqa, the MSA.
- Announcements, dua requests, polls and photos in one feed the masjid moderates
- Discover Nearby puts masajid, groups and organizations near you on a map
- Follow every community you belong to; each gets its own page, one app holds them all
- The masjid's prayer times, member count and social handles on its public page

Give from your phone. The masjid sees every gift.
What the masjid sees is the part most donation apps skip. A gift made in the app lands in the masjid's own connected payment account and shows up as a donor, a gift and a recurring plan in a CRM the masjid owns, not a bank line with no name on it.
- Give to a campaign from the app, one-off or recurring
- Money goes to the masjid's own payment account, not to Ummah
- The masjid sees each donor, gift and recurring plan on that member's profile
- Donation management is part of the Advanced plan, at 0% platform fee on Advanced
One app for members. One portal for the admin.
Members never see the portal, and the admin never posts in six places. Events, prayer times, members, programs, donations and staff roles are set once in the Community Portal and appear in the app.
- A setup checklist walks a new admin through the first week
- Events, prayer times, members, programs and staff roles from one login
- Attendees, participants and donors become members automatically, so the directory fills itself in
- The masjid's public page and calculated adhan are live the day it signs up, free

Other masjid apps, and what each one is for
Most apps a masjid considers are built for one masjid at a time, or for one job. Here is what each says it is for, in its own words, and the one thing Ummah does differently.
| App | What it is for | How Ummah is different |
|---|---|---|
| The Masjid App (themasjidapp.org) | For members, prayer times, notifications and a masjid finder. For masjid staff, a prayer clock, a slideshow, a donation platform with tax receipts, a donation kiosk, handheld payment devices and a live fundraiser display. | One app across every community a Muslim belongs to, with Discover Nearby, events, giving and the feed in one install. |
| Masjidal (mymasjidal.com) | Islamic tech for masjids and homes: the Al-Iqamah prayer display for masjid TVs, a signage player, a donations platform, a tap-to-pay kiosk, the Athan+ community app, and an athan clock for the home. | One app across every community a Muslim belongs to, with Discover Nearby, events, giving and the feed in one install, rather than one masjid's screens and one masjid's app. |
| Mawaqit (mawaqit.net) | A free, non-profit prayer times platform: live prayer times and announcements on mosque screens, an app, TV, smartwatch and Alexa, with no advertising, in more than 160 countries. | One app across every community a Muslim belongs to, with Discover Nearby, events, giving and the feed in one install, so events, registration and giving sit next to the prayer times. |
| MOHID (mohid.net) | Cloud management software and donation kiosks used in over 1,000 mosques: donations, fundraising, membership, program registration, email and SMS, kiosks, handheld terminals and signage, with the Minbr and Khadm apps. | One app across every community a Muslim belongs to, with Discover Nearby, events, giving and the feed in one install, and no hardware to buy. |
| A custom single-masjid app (MadinaApps and similar) | A branded app built for one masjid, sold alongside a website, a donation kiosk, school fees, a TV display and push notifications from one platform. | One app across every community a Muslim belongs to, with Discover Nearby, events, giving and the feed in one install, so nobody installs one app per masjid. |
Each row was read from that vendor's own website. Ummah is one of the apps compared, and its store ratings are the current listings.
