Nearly 1,200 tickets. Close to $80,000. No issues.
Showdown is the MSA Lone Star Council's flagship conference, three days that pull MSAs from across Texas onto one campus. Showdown 2026 ran its registration, its ticketing and its announcements on Ummah.

A statewide council with one week that matters most.
MSA Lone Star Council is the umbrella for collegiate Muslim Student Associations across Texas. Showdown is their flagship: three days of competition and programming at the University of Texas at Arlington that bring MSAs in from campuses across the state.
For an event like that, registration is the operation. Every attendee, every school, every ticket tier has to be settled and payable before anyone gets in a car. Get it wrong and you find out in front of a thousand students.
We built for them, not around them.
We walked their board through the platform, then kept working while they ran the event. When their process needed something the product did not have yet, we built it. Two of the features below exist because Showdown needed them.
That is the part most platforms will not do. A ticketing vendor takes a percentage and hands you a help center. We took the roadmap.
What we built and ran for Showdown
Google Sheets integration
Their board already ran on spreadsheets. Rather than force a new habit during their biggest week, registrations flow straight into the sheet they were going to open anyway.
End to end event announcements
Announce, register, remind, follow up, all from the event itself. No separate mailing tool, no exporting a list to send one message to the people who already signed up.
Ticket tiers for a statewide field
Multiple schools, multiple ticket types, one roster. Every attendee, every MSA and every tier in one place before anyone arrived on campus.
Bugs fixed before attendees hit them
We sat on the build through the run up. Things that broke got fixed the same day, which is why close to $80,000 moved through the platform without a payment issue.
Close to $80,000 in ticket sales, clean.
Nearly 1,200 tickets went through Ummah for Showdown 2026, bringing in close to $80,000 in ticket sales with no payment issues. The board watched their numbers move in real time instead of waiting on a payout report from somebody else’s dashboard.
Worth doing the arithmetic on the alternative. On a ticketing platform charging up to 10%, $80,000 in sales hands up to $8,000 to the platform. Ummah Advanced is $75 a month flat, with no platform fee on tickets. For a student council, that difference is not a line item. It is next year’s event.
Run your own conference through the same math
Plug in your ticket revenue. The calculator uses each platform's published 2026 fees.
On a masjid-management platform like MedinaApps, Mohid, or Masjidal? Pick “Custom solution” and plug in their fees.
Our paid plans are a subscription and a competitor’s fee is per event, so the only fair comparison is a whole year. The three plans below include the plan cost.
On this one event you would keep an extra $509 in platform fees on Ummah Advanced. Which Ummah plan is actually cheapest for you depends on your whole year, so check the three below.
